what’s a broad?

Coming up with the title of a blog is hard. You want it to be both catchy but descriptive. We know that the term “broad” might not be in everyone’s vocab, and honestly, it just recently entered ours with our fav show of all time Broad City.

So what is a broad? According to Urban Dictionary, one meaning of the word is a slang that was used before WWII that meant an independent, assertive woman.

With many different definitions for the term, I found this article that summed up how the word is changing to be more positive for women. And so, BroadsAbroad is our home now.
